Gallup Poll Daily tracking from Aug. 30 through Sept. 1, finds Barack Obama leading the race for president with his highest share of support to date. Fully half of national registered voters now favor Obama for president, while 42% back John McCain.

John McCain has overtaken Barack Obama in the presidential race, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released Wednesday morning.
McCain leads Obama 46 percent to 41 percent among likely voters, which is outside the poll’s margin of error. Reuters/Zogby had Obama ahead by 7 points as recently as mid-July.

With Election Day still three months away, 48 percent said they’re hearing too much about the Democratic candidate, according to a poll released Wednesday by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center. Just 26 percent said the same about his Republican rival, John McCain.

Democrat Barack Obama leads Republican John McCain by 11 points in Wisconsin based on a new poll.
The Quinnipiac University poll released on Thursday shows that 50 percent of likely voters said they will vote for Obama, a senator from Illinois. In the poll, 39 percent said they will vote for McCain, a senator from Arizona.
