You can’t turn on the automatic spelling checker from inside a message you’re composing, so if you want to use this feature, close out or minimize any messages you’re currently working on and follow these steps:

* Choose Tools + Options.
* Click on the Spelling tab.
* Click on the Always Check Spelling Before Sending box.
* Click on OK.
